"Whatever you are, be a good one." - Lincoln

I go tip toe dancing
I gently tread
To my insomniac prancing

Listening, waiting, fearful glancing
Buried in covers and sleepless dread
So I go tip toe dancing

Falling in love with day brakes romancing
Daddy said, "Darling, darling, back to bed."
My insomnia prancing

Work across the wooden floor; advancing
"You need a doctor" Mama said.
So I go tip toe dancing

Sleep is crying, calling, entrancing
I try settling my frantic head
But there I go insomnia prancing

Stop the lying, sneaking, chancing
And midnight walking, like your half way dead
But I go tip toe dancing
My insomniacs prancing

Ok, this one is a style of poetry called a villanelle. I had an idea for writing a poem about insomnia and the 'tip toe dancing' (sneaking around at night.) but every time I tried to write it free verse I couldn't get it write. I was experimenting with listing things like "listing, waiting, fearful glancing", "cryng, calling, entrancing." or repeating like "darling, darling"But the only thing I don't like about villanelles is that it's hard to get it to be smooth and flowing so I know it sound a little choppy. But please comment, and thanks for reading.
