eyes on fire
with city lights
a winter night
frost clearing through
our adolescent brains
forming crystal futures
adjacent and apart
music is like
thoughtsrunningtogether
melting, dripping, ice
immeasurable time
we dance in the
black heart of winter,
our captor
unescapable
disaster
we’re waiting in vain.
