Darken the blue powdered sky
Behind city lights and passing voices
The evening makes its approach
Slowly, it creeps
With outstretched, twisting arms
Spilling its way over an ever darkening purple canvas
Bells break the silence of the approaching dusk
Overhead and to the east,
Progressive shades of black complete the inevitable transformation of my world
Darken the blue powdered sky,
