Memories of You
People are like memories
that come and go,
Bringing smiles and sorrows
taking you high and low
Some are sweet
while others are bitter,
Some last longer
Some forgotten forever
There are memories too
Those are best left hidden,
Concealed deep within the mind
Not to be remembered again
Memories of me and you
once held so dear
Loved and cherished
but now shed away with a tear
Missing every smile of yours
and the crinkling of your eyes,
the wonderful things you do for me
that takes me by surprise
If only you could hear
the cries of my pain,
tell me, how can I bear
to live a life in vain
My heart feels lonely
Surrounded by a haze,
hoping you would come back
one of these days
Our parting of the ways
has taken us further apart,
but for now u are locked away
deep inside my heart
