a realist's pledge of allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the flag
Of the separated States of America
And to the corruption
For which it stands
One nation, strayed from god
Already divided
With liberty and justice for some

the pledge of allegiance is for the optimist; we don't live in a land that offers equality for all, we don't live in a land that demonstrates god's love. we live in a bureaucracy, full of hate and discrimination and westboro baptist churches. i am pledging to the real america.
