Just Because.........

Just because I have ADHD
Doesn’t mean I can’t learn.
Doesn’t mean I can’t focus in school

Just because I have ADHD
Doesn’t mean I am different.
Doesn’t mean I am weird.
Doesn’t mean I am not normal.

Just because I have ADHD
Doesn’t mean I can’t control myself.
Doesn’t mean I should be treated unfairly.
Doesn’t mean I am stupid.
Doesn’t mean I can’t succeed at anything.
Just because I have ADHD – Doesn’t change who I am.

This poem speaks to the hundreds of thousands of kids who at times are treated differently for various reasons. Kudos to the author, Brittany Miller, for her courage and strength.
