I laced my fingers in yours,

Because I was afraid.

Afraid that if I let go,

You’d slip away,

Sink into yourself,

And I’d lose you.

I was afraid,

That you’d disappear,

And I’d never get you back.

I felt that if I held on,

You’d stay next to me,

If I held on,

You’d stay afloat.

Don’t drift away.
