A house in the distance
Where we used to play
Feeling like thunder
Imaginations astray

Youth strut like kings
March alongside a friend
Gazing at each other
No patches to mend

Note their clumsiness
Youth was too slow
Time skipped to quickly
Tripping over a shoelace bow

A house in the distance
Where I used to live
My memory is jogging
I am no longer a native
