When you make music or write or create, it's really your job to have mind-blowing, irresponsible, condomless sex with whatever idea it is you're writing about at the time." -Lady Gaga

I don't care how you wear my shoes.
I don't care how often you even put your feet in 'em.
It's the laces I care about-
It's always tight at the bottom, getting looser in the middle.
But I tie them tight. Double knot.
Because it's a long walk and an even longer route.
Now lemme take you by the creek.
Every now and again the water sparkles.
Soon the fish'll kick and jump out.
That one shoe there's a little faded, 'cause it always gets wet.
The laces dry harder, even kick up the dust.
Then they lead my feet from the drought.
Sure I can press my palm to my cheek where it should be damp and cool.
But I like it better when you don't notice.
It doesn't leave you riddled with doubt.
