Small, soft hands,
Cupped around an ear
Whispering juicy tidbits
About the girl sitting over there

Spiteful voice
Spewing hatred
Towards that girl
And her pretty blue eyes

A girl murmuring her crush's name into a listening ear
Sped up heartbeat
Rosy blush blanketing cheeks
High pitched giggles, recounting his comments

Sister hissing at her brother
"I'm telling mom what you did"
Panicked eyes, sweaty palms
Confession.

Secrets.
Fueled by passion, hate, love, kindness, anguish, depression, anger.
Laughter. Tears. Smiles. Glares. Pouts. Scowls.
Sometimes lies, sometimes truth

Secrets.
Turn the world upside down
And right side up again
Only to repeat the pattern again

Secrets.
Whispers. Hisses. Murmurs. Mutters.
A tiny light in the darkness
A single petal of a flower

Beware of who you tell
Secrets are your dirty laundry, your innermost thoughts and feelings
And the person you tell might just be
Ready to be given to any willing ear

I did this for a poetry competition but it turned out that I really liked it.
