A Way Out

Take me away, away, away
Take me out this place,
I don’t want to stay.
Take me to the mountains,
Take me to the bay,
Take me anywhere but here,
Because I don’t want to stay.
Here memories follow too close,
And the skies are too blue,
So take me somewhere good,
Because I want to start anew.
If I leave now,
I may stand a chance,
We could leave tonight,
We wouldn’t give it a second glance.
Please take me away,
I don’t want to stay.

What makes this poem good is that you are able to manipulate your words to convey your emotion.  Though I didnt like the last two lines, (they somehow felt out of place), the poem as a whole is very well done.  Keep writing and I'll keep reading!

I love the clarity of thought and single-mindedness of purpose here. I can tell exactly what you want to do and your reasoning behind it. Great work! :D
