Very First True Friend

As I grew up the dark would make fun of me, making me scared. The dark dances in my room until I fell to the sand man’s spell. During the day I met a new friend.Tall as me, long purple hair, blue eyes, friendly and a boy. He told me he would never leave my side as long I didn't leave his. At night he comforted me and told the dark to stop mocking me, but as I grew older my friend faded away. I said I would never leave his side but I did. That is what growing up is about and forgetting you very first true friend.
