Yet Again, I Think of You
No matter how hard I try
I can't keep my mind off of you.
Your smile so sweet,
Lips so inviting.
The piercing eyes
Resemble stars so bright.
Day by day,
Night by night,
Not one pass that I don't return to thoughts of you.
You had me from hello,
Yet you feel not the same.
Or do you,
I surely don't know.
Oh, but if you did!
My life would be complete.
All my dreams would be reality,
No reason to wish anymore.
For the fair maiden I adore,
Would love me much more
Than I ever could imagine.
Yes, tis sweet the taste of love.
Just as one stares at the snow white dove.
Both more attractive than hate, or a pigeon.
So, sweet girl, I implore,
Love me true,
Forever more.
