So many trying to say
and tell
"do better, you failure"
"you aren't good enough"
"she is better than you"
I work hard
hard and long
she may be
better now
but when this game
runs it's full course
and when it matters
I will be on top
I will see
the light
of victory
soon
so you watch
watch the winner win
now I am
better than I've been
I am now the best
hold the applause

I was going through a tough time in school when the new girl started beating me with grades. I was always the top scorer in every subject, but now she was over me in a few of them. I wrote this poem for inspiration.
