She didn’t care what other people thought
She loved herself for who she was
And that’s what mattered
Her close group of friends accepted her
And her family supported her
So when people gave Sherry a weird look
As she walked in school she just continued on

Sherry liked when students started to stare
She enjoyed the attention
Almost everyday she wore her hair in a different color
Red, blue, hot pink, orange, white
Anything was fair game

Every morning when she woke up and thought
How do I feel today?
And she would relate that mood to a color
This particular day was a raging red
She had tests in almost every class
And her best friend had lied to her

She walks over to the bathroom
Inside the cabinet all the colors of hair dye are present
Like Crayola Crayons in the 64 pack
Sherry picked out her color and dyed her hair for the day
This color was sure to get a lot of attention

As soon as she got out of her car people starred
And starred
And starred
She sat in first period and she caught the teacher staring
She walked down the hall and she caught the janitor staring
Finally at the end of the day
She caught the guy she crushed on
Staring
This made her day
Tomorrow would be a much happier color
