Memories
A summer memory
Warm, floury sand cascading in mounds on the English shore
Miniature parodies of waves lick the land, ghostly imprints of foam lingering
Ice-white spray dances atop the gently swelling surf
The sky mirrors the opalescent ocean
Both nature’s beauties a blend of watercolor hues
The soft dunes of sand dotting the shore
Sprinkled
With wispy sea grasses or velvety leaves
Muted silver fog cloaks the scene
Dappling the sand fluff with handfuls of moonlight
Nestled among them, two sisters welcome nature’s gifts
Desperate to prolong this fleeting moment
