The Boy in the Back of my Mind
A fourteen year old, a child, with a life harder then most will ever experience
Cancer ruins not only his family but also his own life
He has a brain tumor, and he will die
A year ago his sister passed away with a brain tumor
No one can tell these children’s parents it will be all right
It will never be all right
Everyday I live life, I am healthy, but for this young boy he has faced the reality that he will never get to do the things normal people take for granted
Prom, marriage, parenthood, college, making mistakes, or even growing old
He comes to mind sometimes in my everyday life and I just wish that he would get a chance to experience life
A second chance
