Sleepless nights,

Breathless tights.

Insomnia pries my eyes open,
and Leaves me with nothing to hope in.

my mind begs for sleep
that my body cannot keep.

Imagine a snippet of time,
without sense or rhyme.

Not a being would keep track,
we would just travel forward and never back.

I would sleep very deep,
and into me, rest would seep.

Make up for the 'countless' hours
that fell sleepless like meteor showers.

Sleepless nights,
would provide beautiful sights.

Dreams projected while awake,
that away from me, not a soul can take.

Sleepless nights,
