Africa & Today

In the fluffed heavenly clouds,

Against the savannas lonely Acacia tree,

Beneath the precious jewels of the Sahara,

Along the Niles ever flowing riverbank,

Through the Kenyan plains tall grasses,

Beyond the middle eastern sands,

Around Nubia’s granite cliffs,

Before the fall of grand Egypt and its power,

After the fall of man in Eden,

Among Ethiopia’s poverty,

During Ghana’s new outlook on life,

Except for Libya’s political influence,

By God showing his wrath to Pagan worship,

Besides being part white as most of us are,

Between mental and physical enslavement,

Past the forgotten Emancipation Proclamation

Underneath the abominations of earths forgotten treasure

For the sakes of my forefathers both Black and White

Instead of being held in present day Black American bondage,

Africa is my place to be.
