Day and Night
An eye of eternity, blazing sphere so bright
A star burning for morality,
For all of day and night
Birds sonorous in the fading dusk, greeting the new light
Prancing squirrels here and there,
Trees swaying to the beat of life
In equilibrium epitomizing calm
Till the light yields to dusk
The howl of wolves, demons cry,
The morbid chill a blanket of cold
Lurking beasts ever in the shadows
Eyes aglow, jaws agape
Wraths at night
Dark with plight
Till the caress of the rays of life
Return, gently upon the legions of night
In greeting to new light
The squirrels prance, on trees that dance
To the new day
To the immortal eye, of eternity
