"Don't tell me the skies the limit when there are footpirnts on the moon"

I sit under the willow
The branches sway
Back and Forth
My heart is content
My soul is at peace
I can feel the birds watching me
Their melody wraps around me caressing me
I am Kind and loving
The sun beats down and shadows my eyes
i see the world clearly
Everything is beautiful
The world is done with war and I feel free
Free from the noise of our world shattering
Free from the fact that no one is perfect
Free from hate
And open to love
"If we only love those who love us, what reward is that?"

This is my first poem. I kind of did it to just jot down some ideas. Right now I'm at a really peaceful place. Full of love and my heart is no longer sick with hate. I'm very happy. The quote in this poem comes from the bible and is used in the movie "Passion of the Christ" I suggest you watch it if your faith is strong it's a beautiful movie, that has brought me closer to God and closer to forgiving everyone. I have become less hateful. This movie really inspired poem.

for a first poem, it's pretty good.
