Many things in the world have already happened
And are happening right now
The letter my friend sent me, ripped to shreds
Scraps lying on the hard tile floor
I hear my computer beeping harshly as a message sent is unread
I step out into my clean driveway only to hear and see cars rushing down the street
Not a soul visible and atmosphere devoid of conversation
Nobody talks any more for it seems everything we know is obsolete
It seems like the world of the future
Sadly, it is the world we are living in right now!
