Hollow Ways
How is it to be in the torrent rain?
Sealed by those wrapping chains?
Only throwing your silent screams,
Forever encased in a woeful dream.
Hopes of freedom held in vain,
Flowing blood and eternal pain.
Torn heart and a ripped soul,
Knowing you'll never be whole.
Your love slowly drowning in the sea,
A sacrifice so others can be free,
Crushing blows are self-inflicted,
Chance of jubilance forever evicted.
Your high and mighty regal acts,
Offer cover to the unfeigned facts.
That beneath that ill tempered mask,
Is a self hating man's dark past.
Perhaps with time you shall cease
Those horrid ways and be released.
Released from that deafening cage
No longer filled with reflected rage.
Join a world filled with joy and care,
Be unchained from your own despair.
