Stuck
One day I am free to do all I wish to do,
The next I am completely trapped.
Yearning to soar through the air again,
But I know my feet will never leave the ground.
I barely got to taste sweet freedom,
It was taken away in one small swoop.
Looking around, I wish I could join the others
Who are having so much fun
They do everything I once did
And what I wish I could now
When will this big burden ever be gone?
It has trapped me and causes so much harm.
I know I have to think positively
Just a couple more weeks
Then it will all be over
And once again I will be free.
