Stop talking to the wind and cover your hands in rust
it’s all you’ve got
no legs worth standing
nor hands worth shaking

enough
I’ve kept this inside
Empty is what I wish for
Open doors and Midwest dreams
the hollow, and the valleys in between
If the pastor greets the sinner
my feet do sink in soil

Open water is not as treacherous as you think
I broke my veins down into smaller streams
The devil met the details and he calls it home

I wish this mouth would close
and meet her back home
I was never one for waiting
but people change

Open ended
always wanting

The lovers are at sea
I lost my mind
so at least
you set it free

Taking the first step towards something can be the hardest but it is worth it, even if you don't believe in yourself.
