Standing at the edge of the empire state,
one move of a muscle will determine my fate,

How did i get here?,
Well you tormented me when you first saw my fear,

You tried to beat me into what you wanted to see,
Something I could NEVER be,

Screamed at me words so full of hate,
but guess what im still not straight,

I was born this way,
I'm not gonna lie and say I feel proud every day,

But im feeling stronger,
Like maybe life should last a little longer,

Im gonna take a step back,
use some of the bravery you so obviously lack,

Tell you that your wrong,
That no matter how gay, I am still strong,

So next time you push me around,
Ill show you the courage I just found,
