Distance
we walk alone nowhere to go,
yet we reflect
through countless eyes
for desolate skies
as all thats left is tomorrow's moan
selfish lies of the heart that blind the wise and the smart,
as distance pulls two sides of the chest
each one goes west in tempered regret
for selflessness is one's hopeless torment
we love
we lose
yet no love will bruise
life's journey or fight
with relentless abuse of shallow insights
