The Path

The trees, the leaves, the log
The stone stairs, the gravel path;
Each reflecting a piece of life.

The gravel path
Life comes with many twists and turns
And some times you may stray away from a path (sometimes)
But eventually you will find your way back

The trees
Watch over you and protect you
Like family or a best friend

The leaves
Come in and out of a person’s life
As people do.

The log
Sometimes life gives you obstacles
You must find ways to get past them

The stone stairs
Sometimes life gives you choices
You must choose what path you would like to take

(there is a pattern, but only in log/stairs, and then same lines in trees/leaves/log/stairs-- but not gravel path. So the poem feels a little disjointed.)

The trees, the leaves, the log
The stone stairs, the gravel path;
Life is a path
