Living in a pasture is not swell
There is no cure
For Annabell
For sure
This is her cell

To be free again
Would be nice
To run with her kin
Than to be frozen like ice

She rather be water
Flowing freely
Instead freedom does’t matter
When it comes to Sheely
Sheely is the master
She is not friendly
it makes Annabell even sadder

Annabell wants to be alive
With a broken leg she’ll be
Kill by a gun or a knife
But she is free

Being dead gives her
the freedom she died for
shes free from the pasture,
all the pain she had to endure,
free from no cure,
she is slaved no more

Maybe the horses death
Was the only thing
Before chance of freedom left
That truly set her free

Well I love all animals especially horses. There just so majestic and bueatiful. In the poem Annabell is being abused all she wanted to be was free.
