blurry figures drifting by
life still holds no meaning
ravaged sneers
from vicious peers
the gossip has me seething
i cannot speak
i cannot defend
it's all the ways of segregation
just break my heart
tear me apart
with your measly instigation
i'm here, alive, for better things
but my heart beats like it's a dream
severed ties
and pointless lies
still, no one hears me scream
