The Hourglass
Time is running out
with each grain of sand that falls from the top of the hourglass
 I regret
regret the things I could have done
 things I could have changed
 people I could have saved
because with each grain of sand comes guilt
guilt about how I live my life
how I treat myself and the ones I love so deeply
 how I walk around pretending
 pretending that everything is fine
 that nothing is bothering me
but deep inside I know that it's not true
 but I must stay strong
I must stay strong for the people that need me
 the ones I'd lie for
 cry for
 die for
 the ones I love
and with each grain of sand that falls
I know that I'm too late
