Our love
They say dogs are a person’s best friend
I had never been the one to believe
Until I saw his eyes
That small little thing
That was the slept half of the day
And throughout the night
I watched him grow
And with everyday
my love for him grew eve more
He who five feet were never too high for him to jump
The little thing that wouldn’t
Fit in his Christmas clothes
Because he was now bigger and old
When he cried I was sad
He who brought out my mother instincts
He’s not a child
But he’s the one I worry day and night about
My love for him would never die
And If I could ever speak to him
In a way he would understand
There would only one thing I would say
Words that come from my heart
I love you.
