Tip tap
Flap flap
Dampness of the Earth
Seeps into her skin
Eerily quite for this time of night
A white dog scurries along with her
Click click click
The sound of the dog's paws
Barefoot through the night
I watch and wait
Wait for the noise of the river
Closer she moves, closer, NOW!
The white dog scurries away

The author's comments:
The Raven kind of inspired this, but it was a really eerie night when I took my white dog for a walk and felt as if someone was watching me. I decided to write about if I didn't make it home.
