Drop after Drop
Drop after drop the water falls,
From sky, from sink, from emotional brawls,
In an infinite loop of relentless motion,
Water ultimately falls right into the ocean.
An echo of splash haunts my sleep,
water and blood start filling the deep.
Senses all lost in the cosmic combine,
Only red can I see for the blood is of wine.
Pressure so great all feeling is gone,
And sound waves can never to far go on.
What’s left of my world but smell and taste?
So for those I breathed in and my maker I faced.
