Slipping into Sunrise
Fresh out of the stack, warm
From the loving radiation of a small, glowing sun
Still virgin in use since this sunrise
I stretch the seam and slip into delight
The fit, how perfect? How crisp the starch?
 My day has now begun.
Plaid, the beauty of the intricate cloth that is now
 A part of me.
And even when it rains, the rays will glow
 Through my pockets
Squares of scarlet, golden, and citrus cotton
 Secret to most; underlying clothes
 I treasure this day, until
 Inevitable sunset.
