Favorite Quote:
And before our world goes over the brink,
Teach the believers how to think.

-Philip Appleman

A wet floor: you slip and fall hard,
surprised on the way down.

Firecracker thrown, the fuse shorter than you think:
Boom, startled, and your ears ring.

Unbeknownst to you, a storm encroaches:
You jump as thunder cracks and lightning strikes.

After sudden realization, you lose your affection:
Heartbroken lovers' eyes turn to stone.

The author's comments:
I normally can't stand love poems, but this one just came to me, and I don't think it's bad.
