Gone for good
New York here I come
A hometown not found
Lost in a sea of new names
Next year I may not be here
Please remember me when I’m gone
Clouds like sheep go by
Counting each one sadly
I hate the feeling of leaving,
especially when I just got started
New York here I come
Each year when school just got started
I have to leave with him
Dad can’t stay in one spot too long
He is too sad to do so
A hometown we haven’t found
I’ve never had a real friend
Dad constantly says “don’t get to close”
Be distant, detached, and disconnected
Don’t dare be open to friendly strangers, or you’ll get hurt
Lost in a sea of new names rarely used
Moving is a demon that is my worst enemy
I’ve lived in twelve different states, one for each year she’s been gone
The only friend I have is a pink bunny
Mom gave it to me before she left
Next year I may not be here
I’m gone and the only thing left is a note
Telling who ever cares that I’ve departed
In the sky on my way to our new home
If anyone would actually call it that
Please remember me when I’m gone
