Truth About Relationships
Broken and shattered,
you make your way
down into the deepest shadows.
There you lay,
soundlessly weeping.
Each breath, harder than the last.
You think about past relationships,
how each one withered away
taking a part of you with them,
Never to return again.
You walk along
feeling nothing.
You stumble on
not knowing where you are,
not remembering who you’ve been.
Every step takes you further
into despair,
Never to return again.
You’ve been living in a fog.
The sun tucked away,
too afraid to come out
and see the damage that is done.
But you know.
Fear does not reach you,
all you feel is the hurt and pain
inside you.
Hollowing what was once whole,
Never to return again.
