“She says nothing at all, but simply stares upward into the dark sky and watches, with sad eyes, the slow dance of the infinite stars.” - Neil Gaiman

You fed me with words untrue
luring me in with their bittersweet
and beautiful sound
Being the gullible person I am,
I believed them
When realization hit,
my world hung at a stop
swaying on a string
I really cannot imagine why
you would want to hurt me like this
Sticking your venomous nails
through my skin
slashing through my very core
The wounds bleed
bleeding out all my love
You took a tiny sip
then throw the cup back at me
Bloody tears roll down my face
I lie down and rest
in the pool of my love
I try to stitch the wound
on my own
The sewing is crooked and weak
but it will do for now..

This is a poem about how badly someone can be hurting on the inside when they realize that everything the believed wasn't really true, and they've been wounded
