The price if a life
What price can you give to life?
How much hope can you give an orphan?
how many numbers can you pay a widow?
How many rivers of tears must be cried
To fill the empty space?
How many words can you speak
To a mother, a brother or lover?
How much can you give to fill empty hope?
What can you pour into a bleeding chest
To replace the beat of a heart?
How can you live for the sake of two or three
When the life of one is enough to bear?
What can you charge for breath
And for blood?
How many tears must be shed
To pay the price of a life?

The author's comments:
I do not fear death
I do not dread the day i will meet my end
But no courage in the world can console me
Of the fear of what death leaves behind
