For the Love of him

For the love of him over and done.
Now I’m running, and running and running.
I know he is already gone, I feel it in my bones and my heart.
The feelings I have for him forever strong, no matter what happens.
The feel of him is pressed and wrong, beneath my fingers.
I am chilled to the bone.
For the love of him over and done and it scares me.
I couldn’t save him from the hurt punched in his chest the words, “We couldn’t work.”
I couldn’t save his heart last long it’s burning from my magic fingers my magic words.
I don’t have to shed a single tear, but keep covered the secrets that lie beneath.
A feeling of loneliness, a single tear falls but I don’t let the pain show.
From him I hear not a single song, to show the flames still linger.
I still wrapped around his finger.
I am his pet his whatever.
For the love of him over and done
For us I don’t know what’s worth loving.
What are we becoming?
I know he is already gone.
And knowing I wrap my arms about him, in sin.
For the love of him over and done and it scares me.
I couldn’t save him from the hurt punched in his chest the words, “We couldn’t work.”
I couldn’t save his heart last long it’s burning from my magic fingers my magic words.
I don’t have to shed a single tear, but keep covered.
A feeling of loneliness, a single tear falls but I don’t let the pain show.
From him I hear not a single song, to show the flames still linger.
I still wrapped around his finger.
I know he is already gone, for my heart says He’s taken.
This knife I wield knowing I can’t have him, he is hers.
