The mysterious light at the end
Of the tunnel?
A couple strolling
Down a dirt road
Holding hands
On their way home?
Hugs freely given?
A single rose
On your wooden kitchen table?
A young girl
Pushing her younger brother
On a park swing?
A rainbow
On a stormy day?
“I love you” scribbled
On a wrinkled napkin
In your lunch bag?
A chalk drawing
On the sidewalk?
The view from a mountain top?
I don’t know what hope is
Exactly, but I do know this:
Find hope. Find it.
Grasp it.
Cling to it.
Protect it.
Don’t let anyone take
away your hope.
