Given Up
Wrapped in stagnant layers of selfishness.
So misguided, fighting with your every ounce
of false pride and self-appointed honour.
 For what?
Fighting for something you no longer know.
Fighting for something you would walk by
 without recognizing.
More concerned with how you look to others,
 than how you treat them.
You, like everyone else, are looking for peace.
But you're looking in the wrong direction.
 I've just given up trying
 to turn you around.
