I got that wicked charm,
flexing in front of Eve;
I’m working on that hocus pocus,
through many eyes I deceive.

Round and round the ripe apple spins,
upon auburn leaves and lethal sins.
You’d take me as loyal,
such accusations I pity-
for your heart is in peril,
as I hear its beat grow gritty.

Enchanting I appear,
though harmful at most;
through the garden I pace,
playing an exceptionally devious host.

Souls weave their way into my labyrinth,
expressions stiff as stone.
Panic grips their shoulders,
and the apparitions begin to moan.
Revealing a mesmerizing fruit,
the air has now turned still.
Fear dances up ghostly spines,
ah, such a haunting, eerie chill.

The crimson delicacy rests within my palm,
as I tempt the most naïve spirits for a taste;
a single nibble makes bliss seem wrong.
An alluring spell in the end,
since your soul is trapped with me,
I am neither faithful nor innocent,
how difficult is that to see?

I demand you look harder,
feel what I am.
I possess control and dark magic,
I call myself the Lord of Scam!
Do you understand now?
The Prince of Lies,
the King of Foul!
I am all horror,
all malice, trick, and lie;
I am the Keeper of the Contract,
the one that’ll pry.

If you haven’t guessed correctly by now,
I’ll give you one last clue:
check out my horns-
number one and number two.

I decided to whip up a combination of religious humor into this piece of writing. My muse is such a wonderful companion.
