Torn from Truth
Empty stomach day after day
But no one ever dares to say
The one thing that they’re all thinking
Watching as someone else’s world is shrinking
 Skinnier and skinnier
 Thinner and thinner
Shaking at night with a tear stained face
Wanting to vanish without a trace
But rather smiling like everything is fine
At the same time trying to drown herself in wine
 Cutting deeper and deeper
Trying her best to stay proper
Treating others the way they deserve
Past the point of caring to preserve
If they’re happy, so is she
 Knowing that she’ll never be
A person to be looked upon.
