Why Not?
The Soft moonlight glowed into the room
The air was awash with multitudes of gloom
The girl in the bed, all pale and depleted
The boy at his side was utterly conceited
He leaned over and whispered gently "Why Not?"
And a chill of cold was replaced by a feeling so hot
She stood up slowly and took his hand
And off they flew to Neverland
Where nobody ages and nobody cries
Where nobody lives, and nobody dies
They flew to a boat on the river Styx
Where the water was chilled, the land hard as bricks
And they sailed to a land of darkness and chill
Where the dead do choose to eat their fill
Where the conceited boy is the leader of the realm
Where the dead stand ready, waiting at helm
He whispered to her to go run and play
And to take in the coldness of this cold summer day
And he sat on his throne and flicked off a creeper
For this is a day in the life of the Reaper
