“Hey, you’ve heard of that guy, haven’t you?” asked the other guy.
“Oh, yes, I have,” replied I.
“Well, did you hear what he did to my-”. The man broke off as something landed in his eye.
“Aye, I heard what he did to your slice of pie”.
Fishing it out of his eye, the other guy asked, “Surely, with this you won’t let him get by?”.
“Oh, never had the thought never crossed my mind”.
“Well then, what will you do to this man who tampers with all desserts, wonderful and fine?”.
Without hesitation, I answered, “That guy has to die”.
“What guy?” asked the dog, lying on his rug by the hearth.

Where he says "never had the thought never crossed my mind" there isn't supposed to be a second never. But I don't think I can edit work that's already up.
