A child
Im my room quivering,
The monster lurks in the shadows
In the corner. His eyes black,
His body the same.
Under the covers quivering with fear.
Now playing happy as can be.
A big, bright smile spread across my face,
Laughing, giggling.
I realize back then children are free.
Imaginations run,
Limits are endless,
The think big of small,
And whatever the think
they do.
