Spring Awakening

The rose is blooming to life,
it's growing every second,
with each growth spurt,
brings new knowledge.
The rose grows thorns,
because it knows to protect itself,
from the people who seek to destroy it.
The rose encloses itself in crimson red petals,
because it knows it's better to mask yourself from people,
than to show everyone you're bleeding,
from the inside out.
