New growth ignited the imagination
While mystery filled a vast night sky
Mournful howls sound from coast to coast
Laying eyes on a bit of wildness
Apples and bird eggs are of two minds
Creatures long and slim
To wash away their own secrets
Carrying something similar
All traces of
Living…
Breathing…
Wild…
Feared and hunted
But here to stay
Danger is approaching
Eventually the day will come
The chorus of yowls and yips
Bounce along canyons of rock
Silent as a ghost
